I ordered both the covered 12" skillet and the smaller 8" skillet from the Anolon Advanced Bronze Collection and was delighted to see they are even better than I expected. The weight is ideal--impressive but not too heavy for my older hands, The finish shouts quality inside and out. Cooking with them is a step-up in ease of cooking and cleaning. Meat browns nicely with only a tiny drop of oil in the pan. Instructions say no oil is needed, and I may get brave and try that, but in the meantime, can report that both skillets are a pleasure to use for a variety of food I've cooked on my gas range, including eggs, steak, chicken, fish, grilled veggies, e.g. onions, potatoes, stir-fry, etc. Pancakes and French Toast browned without using oil. I particularly appreciate that the exterior finish is also non-stick and wipes clean as easily as the interior, This should extend the attractiveness of the pans for a long, long time. The bronze color is nice, but I would have ordered the stainless finish if the sizes I wanted had been on sale at the time. Note: I forgot just how large a 12" skillet is, and will be ordering a 10" soon, as I'm usually cooking for two.18 MONTH UPDATE: These pans were everything we wanted for about 12 monthsbefore the exterior non-stick finish began to break down and I was unable tofind anyway to keep them looking good. Another 6 months, and the inside ofthe 12" skillet had lost most of it's non-stick qualities, and was impossibleto clean. In all, these "better" quality" non-stick lasted just barely longerthan the less expensive ones and price considered, were not as economical.BTW: We are a 2 person household and we both love to cook and know how tocare for our equipment. These pans were never over-heated of abused, and werecleaned as instructed. In the 18 months of almost daily use of one or the other,I could count on one hand the times the pan was NOT hand-washed and put away after useand not just rinsed and wiped out. Only the small pan is still usable--but unsightly!Question: Should I now order "best" non-stick, and hope they're worth it, or justplan on replacement every year or so?I bought this pan a year ago and l must say it is the best pan l have ever owned. (And l have gone through a lot of them!). I did not write a review until now because l wanted to see if it warped, like some of the reviews stated. It's durable, nothing sticks, a nice size, not too heavy, even heat, has a see through lid, looks nice and l use it almost every day. Nothing sticks to the outside! I don't have to use any other pan! I never use metal utensils or high heat. It still looks like the day l bought it. And it didn't warp! I am very happy! A five star. This is a nice large pan. It's good as a skillet or for stir-fry. It has high sides that reduce splatters. The non-stick surface works great and it's easy to clean. The only thing that surprised me though is that it tends to have a hot spot (see update note below). I've noticed that things cook a little faster in the region closest to the handle. That seems strange to me. I have hot spots on my BBQ grill, but I've never noticed this in a pan before. I even tested it out by cooking batches of bacon and turning the pan around. No matter how I oriented the pan or the strips of bacon (north to south or east to west), the strips of bacon or the ends of the strips closest to the handle cooked faster. This pan looks nice, cooks well (except for the hot spot), and cleans well. The sticker on the pan says that it's safe to use metal utensils, but I don't plan on testing that.______________________________UPDATE (3/8/16):We've owned this pan for less than three months now. My wife loves it so much that she just made me order another one. That's about as high praise as I can imagine. The pan works great and cooks fantastic. I have a hunch that she's going to make me order her a third one for our RV.UPDATE 2 (July '16): We now own four of these: two in our home and two in the RV. That's about as high praise as I can think of. And about that hot spot in my original review...either I got used to it or it went away, because I can't find which pan had the hot spot anymore. We're all good now.I actually am writing this review on ANOLON itself. I didn’t like the color of the bronze pan and it came scratched. There was NO BUBBLE wrap in the box and 2 pans were in one box. The box a 1 hole in it but I feel didn’t cause the scratches. The pans hitting each other from not being packaged properly caused the scratches. I have 12 yr old ANOLON nouvelle copper collection that still look and work great. For best results NEVER put any of your pans in the dishwasher. Common sense. I do add oil when I cook anything. Always had with any pan. To keep the bottoms clean, I use “bar’s keeper friend”This pan is a workhorse in the kitchen. The hard anodized nonstick material is exceptionally durable. Solidly made, it has some weight to it but is not too heavy. My ony complaint is that I am disappointed with the color. I got the bronze deep skillet and it is no where as pretty and bright as shown on Amazon which I would have preferred. The bronze is dull and matches the inside of the pan. (And why couldn’t they make a pretty red color?) I do love that it’s deep and that it is a 12” pan because I make numerous dishes that require this big and deep of a skillet. Clean up is truly a breeze. I expect the pan to last a good long time. Aside from the color, and I can overlook that as it’s a very neutral tone, this is exactly what I wanted.I really like this brand . Their products are sturdy and as described on their website. This pan in particular is heavier than I would like, but not quite as heavy as an iron skillet. Pretty close though. Not for those with any type of wrist or hand injury, ailment or even minor aches. Great size for making small batch soup or curry, one-pot dish etc. I have not used it in the oven although it can be used for a short time below a certain temperature. Before heating the pan, it sat perfectly flat on the glass top stove. However, after heating the pan, within minutes, had warped so that it no longer sat flat, rather it wobbled, so no even distribution of heat. Very disappointed. Once it cooled down, it again was mostly flat. Looking for a frying pan that will keep its shape and not warp when heated. After using three months the pan had warped, Turn out could not stay flat on the electric range, not worth the price, needed to buy a new pan againExcellent not stick pan.very good product
